Sculpture: Antoinette: exploring anorexia, dysmorphia and concepts of beauty.

With this piece, I wanted to fuse together visual ideas that could be considered beautiful and horrific at the same time.

I wanted to create a piece that was aesthetically pleasing and explored ideas about modern day body dysmorphia.

I hope I have created a visual effect that is striking and has the ability to confront the viewer, asking them to question their views about body dysmorphia.

When I show the piece to people, some see beauty in it, whereas other have found it disturbing. Some people have found it conveys a combination of the two.
