This is a pen drawing of the celebrity Kim Kardashian.

I have chosen her as a subject as part of of my explorations of body dysmorphia and the modern obsession with image.

Cross hatching is a common technique used in pen drawing. I sometimes find the result of cross hatching hard, harsh and imprecise. For this piece I wanted to create a softer look so I experimented by using a Biro. I am pleased with the result.

I also used Biro as a comment on the disposable (and plastic) nature of her image.
